As the farm has grown and changed over the past year, our Coombeshead ducks have continued to give us great pleasure. They have spent the Autumn & Winter grazing the valley and meadows, we hope you enjoy them as much as we have.

All of our ducks will be dry aged for 10 days before dispatch, alongside an accompaniment of rillette, pate, sausages and other larder essentials. Plenty of provisions for Christmas that will feed up to 6 people.

This year you can opt to add a few extra bottles for the table, taking in our favourite tipples from across the UK or the continent, wherever your fancy takes you.

A Whole Coombeshead Duck

Our flock of Pekin x Aylesbury ducks have been enjoying a wonderful life in the valley. They come simply drawn and ready for the Christmas oven alongside a bundle of herbs and plenty of stuffing. These ducks have been dry aged for 10 days with the livers for pate, confit giblets and necks for rillette. 

Duck, Mangalitza & Prune Pie

A perfectly proportioned pie, enough to feed 6. Made from our ducks & Mangalitza pigs with a studding of confit duck gizzard and neck, lardo and brandy soaked plums. The jelly is made from the bones of the ducks and pigs, with a healthy dose of sherry. Best eaten with brown sauce and an ale.

Christmas lunch secret weapon.

Smoked Coombeshead Sausage (400g)

A hot smoked Middlewhite pork and duck sausage. They can be enjoyed as a cold cut or grilled.

Country Style Pate (365g)

A traditional country pate, made from the livers of our ducks, plenty of the belly and back fat of our Middlewhites. We add confit onions, garlic and herbs from the garden, a good few bottles of white wine, some of our eggs, and then gently cook in bain-marie.

Pork & Duck Rillette (365g)

A rillette made from confit duck necks and Middlewhite belly. Perfect to spread over a good piece of bread.

Plum & Bay Leaf Jelly (420g)

Made with our bumper crop of Victoria Plums. This jelly is an ideal duck partner, but also plays well with pate, rillette, and even pork pie.

Brown Sauce (355g)

Made with our apples & plums from the orchard, last years crab apple jelly, a host of spices from The Vinegar Shed, and a liberal dose of our cider vinegar, this brown sauce is a welcome condiment for any sausage, pork pie or bacon butty.

Bread & Butter Pickles (350g)

Cucumbers sliced, salted and then pickled. A pantry staple.

Coombeshead Country Sourdough Bread

Organic British grains, milled and baked in house. 

Salted Cornish Butter (250g)

Our Jersey cow cream is clotted and then churned as per the traditional Cornish way.

Please refrigerate all meat & dairy items upon arrival. All meat items are suitable for freezing.
