March 7th - Lino Stamp Printing onto Tote Bags

Join artist-printmaker Mary Bowen on the 7th March for an evening of lino block pattern printing onto fabric tote bags. 7 - 9pm

During the workshop you will learn how to create your own simple lino stamp design, planning and cutting it out with lino tools. Using our new stamps we will practise repeat pattern techniques onto paper and then when we are ready, handprint onto our tote bags. There will be a range of inspiration available to use, or you can bring your own images and ideas along. You will leave with a beautiful bespoke tote bag and your lino stamp, ready to create more patterns elsewhere!

The workshop will be held in The Shop space here at Coombeshead. All materials will be provided and the farm restaurant will have light refreshments available, to keep us all fuelled.

This workshop is perfect for either beginners or someone with more experience of printmaking. Everyone will be learning, so no prior experience is required to join us. Each stage will be fully explained and demonstrated and the evening will be lots of fun.
