When sat around the festive table, there's nothing quite like a lovely bottle or two to bring a level of familiar frivolity. So, we wanted to share some of our favourite tipples to enjoy alongside that ill-advised fourth portion of pie.
This selection is made up of the efforts from winemakers who share our appreciation for time and the land, with a little added extra fizz. It is New Years after all.

NV Bugey Cerdon, Phillipe Balivet, Savoie
Who doesn't love a little pink bubbly? Our absolute go to, number 1, top of the tree sparkling wine here on the farm. You can almost taste the mountain air, mixed with a little strawberry! A perfect way to start the day.
2019 En Attendant les Copains (Rouge), Domaine du Petit Oratoire, Southern Rhone
Lori Haon's lovely, fresh Cotes du Rhone (although, he's taken it out of the AOC this year, so not officially...) is an incredibly easy drinking red to pair with lashings of gravy and bread sauce.
2018 Alchemille Blanc, Domaine Dame Jeanne, Burgundy
A beaut of a rich Chardonnay from Jeanne Piollot, still only 4 years into her ownership of her little vineyard in the Châtillonnais. A great foil for plenty of slices of whichever fowl may be adorning your table.

2018 Premier Quartier, Ferme des Sept Lunes, St Joseph
Jean DeLobre has been making wonderful wines in the Northern Rhone for many a decade, and this is no exception. A powerful Syrah full of spice. Perhaps best served alongside the Beef Wellington side dish.
2020 The Velvet Underschiste, Domaine Piera Levada, Faugeres
Something a little bit different. This Syrah/Grenache combo almost fizzes on your tongue, managing to balance a little acidity with wonderful aromatics. Capturing some 'South of France' sunshine deep into winter. Something to match with that selection of cheese your long-lost aunt brought with her.
2015 Riesling Kabinett Trocken, Weingut Sybille Kuntz, Mosel
Another firm farm favourite. Having overseen her family vineyard's certification as Bio-Organic, Sybille Kuntz rarely puts a foot wrong - this is exactly what you'd want from a Riesling, balancing that classic oily texture with fresh acidity. An ideal accomplice to the ubiquitous packet of Thai Sweet Chilli crisps...
