The butt of our continental friends' jokes no more, British wine continues to go through a resurgence as a new generation of winemakers bring organic and biodynamic practices to our shores.
We have loved pouring the work of our friends alongside our food over the last few years and so we hope you do too.
This selection will change with the seasons, but currently includes:
2020 Field Notes 1, Offbeat Wines, Essex
Daniel & Nicola Ham's Offbeat Wines (themselves based in Wiltshire) are making some of the most interesting and, importantly, delicious wines in this country. Field Notes is no exception, taking Pinot Blanc and Noir from the crouch valley in Essex to create this wonderfully 'crunchy', light red.
2020 Summer Field, Westwell, Kent
Clinging on to the end of summer, this wonderfully light blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay shows why Westwell are continuing to push forward this latest crop of British winemakers.
2019 Botley's Col Fondo, Domaine Hugo, Salisbury
Daniel Ham has been very busy of late, with his latest project working alongside, Hugo Stewart to bring the latter's extensive Languedoc experience back to Wiltshire. This is a beautiful, fresh semi-sparkling blend of the Champagne heavy hitters.
