Covid-19 Statement

We have decided that after the 19th of July, given the surge of cases in Cornwall and the surrounding area, we will continue to follow all government guidelines to keep our guests and staff safe. We will continue to require our staff and guests to please wear face masks in public areas such as the shop and all shared restaurant spaces, and will also continue to observe social distancing inside all shared spaces. 

All guests will be requested to complete a health questionnaire over email prior to check in and will have the opportunity to liaise with our bookings team about current policies.

During your stay, we will be doing our utmost to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, and have carried out the following:

  • Full inspection from our Environment Health Officer

  • Keep updated on Government Guidelines and following them

  • Increased frequency of cleaning of all public/ shared areas

  • Deep cleaning of all guesthouse rooms between guests

  • Multiple hand sanitiser stations in place for guests and staff and altered operating procedures to minimise contact of our team with the public

  • Face masks to be worn by our team and guests where required

  • Dinner will begin at 7pm in order to be finished, with the restaurant vacated, by 10pm.

 

A note on bookings:

The staff working onsite will be maintaining their distance as outlined by the government and will be complying with the basic protective measures against Covid-19 as outlined by the World Health Organisation. We ask that you do the same.

If you are feeling ill with any of the symptoms of coronavirus, we ask that you inform us and cancel your booking in order to safeguard our staff and the local residents. In the event of this, our usual cancellation policy will be disregarded and you will be able to reschedule your booking for the next 12 months at no extra cost. Any cancellation not directly related to Covid-19 will be subject to our usual policies.

If you feel ill with any of the symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay, you must inform a member of staff and vacate the premises immediately. We will not be able to provide a refund in this case.

Our team has been extensively trained on the current hygiene regulations as outlined by the government. The house undergoes a thorough and extensive cleaning procedure between guests, including disinfection of all surfaces.

During your stay, we will not be entering your room to clean or make your bed. We will also be spending more time cleaning the public areas, continually ensuring all light switches, door handles and any other touch points are disinfected regularly.

In order to safeguard our guests, staff and families we reserve the right to close the site and cancel any future bookings in the event of the presence of a case of Covid-19, or following any changes to government guidelines. In this instance, you will be able to reschedule your booking for the next 12 months at no extra cost, or we can provide a refund.
