Allergies and dietary requirements

We ask that you let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements when booking. If you have any specific requests, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can cater for your needs. Due to the limited service we can provide currently, whilst we will do our best, we may be unable to cater to every dietary requirement.


Dogs are welcome on the grounds of the farm but as a working farm with livestock kept throughout the year, at certain times of year when the sheep are due to lamb dogs will have to be kept on leads. We allow our chickens to roam free and we please ask that your dog is kept under control. Due to our open kitchen, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or in the farmhouse. Barn Rooms 6 & 7 are dog friendly, with a £20 fee applied per animal per stay.



Coombeshead Farm accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of property, vehicles or vehicle contents belonging to guests during their occupancy nor will we be responsible for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, whether caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, contractors or agents, excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.


Payment Policy

In order to confirm a reservation, we ask for the full payment for your stay. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including American Express. If you wish to reserve using a gift voucher you can contact the office directly.


Cancellation Policy

We are a small hotel and restaurant, running only one dinner service each day. As such, our continued viability relies heavily on reservations being honoured by our customers or adequate notice being given of any changes to plans or arrangements. Cancellation of a room or dinner booking made over a month in advance of your reservation will receive a full refund minus a £5 admin fee. Cancellations over two weeks in advance of your reservation will receive 50% refund minus a £5 admin fee. Except as otherwise indicated below, any cancellations made less than two weeks before your reservation will not be refunded. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to move your booking to a date within the following three months at no extra charge. In the event that we are able to fill your room or dinner reservation with another guest, you will be refunded in full minus a £5 admin fee. We strongly advise that you have travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation.

After booking, please check your confirmation email carefully immediately as no liability can be taken for mistakes caused by human error after the fact.

If your reservation has to be cancelled either due to government regulations forcing Coombeshead to close, restricting travel due to Tier systems or due to you or a member of your party having a Covid-19 related illness, our usual cancellation policy will be disregarded and the Covid-19 terms and conditions below will apply.


Lunch Cancellation Policy

We ask for card details upon booking, however you will not be charged prior to your meal with us. In the event of a no show, your card will be charged the full price of every seat that you booked for. Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior will be charged the full price of every seat that you booked for, unless we are able to fill the table. 


Regarding Covid-19

The staff working onsite will be maintaining their distance, and complying with the current hygiene regulations and protective measures against Covid-19 as outlined by the government and the World Health Organisation, on which they have been extensively trained. We ask that you do the same. Any food preparation and service will be carried out with gloves. Facemasks will be worn by staff and must be worn by guests when moving around public areas or walking to their table in the restaurant. We ask that you use the sanitation stations provided and remember to keep a safe distance. All public areas will receive regular, thorough and extensive cleaning, including disinfection of all surfaces. 

Prior to your arrival, if you or any member of your group are feeling ill with any of the symptoms of Covid-19, or have recently been in contact with someone who has, we ask that you inform us and cancel your booking in order to safeguard our staff and the local residents. You may reschedule your booking during the next 12 months at no extra cost subject to availability or receive a full refund.

During your stay, if you or any member of your group begin to feel unwell or have any of the Covid-19 symptoms, you must inform us immediately and obtain a test, the results of which must be shared with us.  If the test is positive, you and the other members of your group must return home to self-isolate in accordance with the current Government guidelines and you will receive a refund for the remaining portion of your booking.  If you or any member of your group are unable to travel home and your isolation is required to take place at Coombeshead Farm, you will be responsible for the remainder of your booking as well as all additional costs. 

In order to safeguard our guests, staff and families we reserve the right to close the premises and cancel any future bookings in the event of the presence of a case of Covid-19 or following any changes to Government guidelines. In this instance, you will have the choice of rescheduling your booking for the next 12 months at no extra cost subject to availability or receiving a full refund.
