We are thrilled to be opening up the Coombeshead kitchen for the first time for a series of cooking workshops. We have carefully designed a series of classes focusing on some classic recipes from the Coombeshead repertoire, based around the seasonal produce coming from the farm and the hedgerows.

The classes will take place from 10-4pm, with a break for lunch, and plenty of bits to take home afterwards.

The first workshop will begin with a walk around the farm where we will pick our ingredients for the day.

Through the day, our wonderful head chef, Rose, will guide you to:
  • Make a Nettle, Rhubarb and Blackcurrant Leaf cordial
  • Teach the basics of a simple pickle using Radishes & Turnips
  • Learn the process of producing puff pastry
  • Create a seasonal Quiche which can be tweaked based on what is available
  • Prepare a Pain des Genes, a delicious French almond cake
  • Learn how to make perfectly poached rhubarb
  • Cook delicious and versatile braised Hodmedod Beans & Salsa Verde

You will leave with lots of things to enjoy at home plus a booklet of recipes and plenty of tips and advice.

Cookery workshops will take place throughout the summer and repeat attendance is encouraged as the seasons change to build up your repetoire.

Please note - places are limited to eight people per workshop.
